    The HV-cable FHLR2GCB2G 50mm² is a shielded, silicone-insulated high-voltage cable engineered for demanding automotive applications requiring stable power transmission at 600 V AC or 1000 V DC. The conductor consists of 1656 strands of 0.20 mm Cu ETP1 copper, achieving a 50 mm² nominal cross-section with a conductor diameter of 9.6 mm. A high tear-resistant silicone insulation with a wall thickness of 0.71 mm provides mechanical strength and flexibility, while the overall core diameter stays within 11.9 ± 0.3 mm for precise installation tolerances.

    A dual-layer shielding system enhances electromagnetic protection. The first layer is a tinned copper braid with 85 percent minimum visual coverage, supported by a second layer of aluminium-coated foil offering 100 percent coverage. Encasing the structure is a durable silicone jacket in orange similar to RAL 2003, with a wall thickness of 0.80 mm and an outer diameter of 15.5 ± 0.3 mm. This construction ensures reliable performance in environments where insulation integrity and interference suppression are essential.

What charging cables are available for electric cars?


To connect the electric car to a public charging station (charging mode 3), a type 2 charging cable is required. Type 2 in this case refers to the type of connector/connection on the side of the charging station. There are two types of connectors on the side of the vehicle. These are the IEC 621961 type 1 connector (also known as Yazaki), abbreviated to type 1, and the IEC 621962 type 2 connector (also known as Mennekes), abbreviated to type 2.
